Don’t Stop Sharing Encouraging Words

Take a few minutes to read this article if you are trying to help someone who is in pain due to the loss of a loved one, break-up, divorce or what ever type of pain.

Often times we are driven to share encouraging words to a grieving person is like adding salt to the injury. In most cases when you share Christian encouragement words the person may seem to overlook them while continuing to indulge in the painful feeling.

No matter how it seems, everyone needs some words that can motivate her or him. I can liken sharing such words to planting a seed. It can take sometime before you see the full results of your hard labour.

Likewise when you try to help someone get through a bad situation, never stop simply because you are not getting the reaction you expect. Continue to share some inspirational stories through words of encouragement cards or poems and don’t even think about giving up.

It is harder for a fresh wound to show signs of healing on the first day. Summon all of your strength and patience and help the person the best way you can. Also, you need to keep in mind that people grieve in different ways and the time taken varies – depending on the extent of the pain or disappointment.

I had a friend who lost a loved one once and it took more than two years to start talking about her without crying. It turned out everything we kept saying to him over the years – in terms of encouragement, helped him to heal eventually. Truth is, I had started to give up on him and when he told me how I had helped I was really pleased.

So no matter how useless you think it is to thinking about writing and sampling some free encouragement letters you can use keep remembering that it is not in for nothing. Just keep at it with tolerance and understanding and it may be you are the reason why the grieving person is able to live through another day.
